I've been a naturalist since I was a young boy in the Okanagan Valley, BC. I curated the insect collection at the University of British Columbia for a decade or so, and I've recently retired after being a biologist for the Canadian Wildlife Service in Whitehorse, Yukon for a couple of decades. I was one of the CWS reps on COSEWIC, the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada, and I'm still a member of the Arthropods Subcommittee of COSEWIC.
