Appeared to be stuck to this plastic slide due to static electricity. I gently removed it after taking the photos
These ants were on a crownbeard plant. This ant on the plant can be found along Bethlehem’s Monocacy trail, where it was beautiful in the clear weather of 65 degrees. There wasn’t an abundant amount of ants but shortly after the picture was taken, more appeared. As they could be feeding off of, or even residing on or near it, the plant and the ants could be partners. These ants were mostly brown or light shade of brown with a lighter color on their antennas and legs, appearing to be a dark yellow but close to brown as well.
