I enjoy finding unusual occurrences and species in places they normally aren't, or simply extending the range and numbers of known threatened species - mainly plants, esp orchids.

Us retired folk seem to have too much time on our hands, so...some experience and training in environmental science over about 40+ years might actually be useful some day.
