I'm a botanist - retired from the National Herbarium of New South Wales, but still based there as an Honorary Research Associate, working on systematics projects on she-oaks (family Casuarinaceae), sedges (Cyperaceae), rushes (Juncaceae) and docks (Polygonaceae) with collaborators in Australia, South Africa, and various countries in Europe, the Americas and Asia. I also take an amateur interest in the birds, fungi and invertebrates in my neighbourhood, especially in this time of isolation in 2020.
