I am Billings, MT-based entomologist, writer and photographer working for Northern Rockies Research and Educational Services and its flagship program, the Montana Moth Project.

I have always been drawn to natural history and to invertebrates in particular, thanks, in large part, to parents who never hurried me past the mini-beasts that peaked my curiosity but, rather, encouraged me to pause, peer in and postulate. As a result, I find myself cheering loudest for the animal underdogs; the relicts, the oddballs, and the diminutives.
