If anyone is interested in learning more about Paleozoic fossils, I couldn't recommend a greater community to belong to than the Missouri Fossil Hunters group on Facebook. Its members span the spectrum from casual rock collectors who are curious to know what some of the strange shapes they find represent, to serious amateurs, to geoscience professionals. Not dissimilar to iNat, it is an active group full of knowledgeable people more than happy to share their expertise and encouragement.

I am extremely grateful for the generous support they have offered over the last few years. Many of the fossils documented in this project I have identified as they are due to the illuminating conversations that take place within that group. Occasionally I have some of those conversations linked, however it is a private group (though all it takes to join is a reasonable request) and one must be a member to view them.
